With Han Kim’s extensive academic background and 28 years of experience in the financial industry, he brings a solid foundation and solutions to properly assist business owners.
As a Seattle native Han focuses on assisting his clients in the greater Seattle-Puget Sound area with an emphasis on SBA commercial real estate lending. He has degrees in Economics with Accounting emphasis, MBA in Finance, and PCBS (executive bank management) certificate.
Having been an entrepreneur and investor who has owned and operated businesses and led organizations as well as invested in real estate, Han is empathetic to the needs of business owners. He is well connected with other finance professionals, accountants, and attorneys who can further assist business owners when other areas of need arise.
Han has always helped others through providing knowledgeable, personal, and transparent financial services that encourage small business owners to achieve their dreams. It’s his calling.
Han’s family owned a small business, but never owned their real estate. Over the 20 years that they paid rent to their landlord, they could have owned the building and had a solid retirement from their investment. He sees real property ownership as a way to achieve security and wealth.
Han has had many successes as well as some setbacks. These setbacks were humbling, but helped Han realize that he had made a positive impact on his customers. At various stages of his career, when he first started in banking, he was a top producer in consumer loans after a short period of time on the job. His initial success in the financial services industry was taking an international bank’s credit portfolio, when he was 25 years old, from a criticized to a strong perform rating; opened the first loan production office for an out-of-state bank, and taking the operation to a top three lenders in the Seattle SBA market. He was also a regional manager covering six states for SBA at a super regional bank and served as president for a community bank, eventually selling the bank.
Ultimately, Kim’s success was driven by his love of the financial services industry and drive to make a mark by assisting business owners achieve their dreams.
Excited about the ability to help those who may not be able to access credit through traditional bank sources, Han points to Harvest’s agility and nimble fashion to assist business owners. Since Harvest is a national platform, Han will be able to assist all of his business contacts and their clients with financing of commercial properties, no matter where their client may be located.
When he isn’t working long hours, Kim loves to stay active, sailing in the evenings during the summer months, practices hot yoga often, cycles throughout the year, runs 5K races and trying to get faster every year, and downhill skis during the winter months. Basically, everything that makes the Pacific Northwest such a great place to live.
